Beyond Wonderland Recap
Sooo for those of you who didn’t get a chance to go, I am terribly sorry. Beyond Wonderland KILLED it this year. Words cannot describe how epic the scene was. We start our 5 hour journey to San Bernardino from Phoenix AZ… 5 hours isn’t too bad. Shitty part? RAIN. RAIN AND COLD. Did that stop us though? NEVER!! We will never give up on the pursuit to hear some kick as electronic dance music!
Swirling lights everywhere, fire breathing metal sculptures, dancers dressed as little ducks, sheep, and other crazy trippy characters. It was impossible not to feel warm from all the love that was pouring out of this event, you could barely tell it was only like 40 degrees outside. It was also impossible to decide who to go see. It was an incredible talent filled line up on every stage and it was so hard to choose, but we did our best! Front and center for my favorite Norman Doray, Moguai, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, Hardwell, ATB, Arty, Gareth Emery, and yes Armin Van Buuren. Here are a few of my favorite pics from the show! Try not to miss out on what of the best events of the year next time!

Beyond Wonderland @ San Bernardino,CA March 17, 2012
Beyond Wonderland has been growing every year as one of Insomniac‘s music festivals that rivals EDC. Taking place this March 17th in San Bernardino, California the one day event is definitely worth your buck of a mere $80 for GA tickets to see big name artists such as Armin Van Buuren, Dirty South, Gareth Emery, Magnetic Man, Arty, An21 & Max Vangelli, Dubfire, Steve Aoki, Aly & Fila, and the list goes on and on. What’s even more exciting is that Armin Van Buuren‘s set will be celebrating the tremendous feat of 550 A State of Trance Episode, which selectively chose this event as one of few performances in his ASOT 550 World Tour! I went to this event last year and it was easily one of the most well decorated and themed festivals that I have ever been too. Not only are professionals and dancers alike dressed to the characters and themes of Alice in Wonderland, with a more satisfying more electronic take, the stages, lighting, sound, and artists are all superb! Ah the time has finally come. After weeks of waiting Gareth Emery‘s Concrete Angel has finally been released. The well constructed melody is a testament to the true skill and unique sound of Emery. Christina Novelli‘s lyrics are beautiful and give birth to a wonderful romantic trance song. If you wanna skip the intro of the song and get to the chase, fast forward to 1:36 and listen from there. Gareth Emery feat. Christina Novelli – Concrete Angel
I’ve been restraining myself from uploading this video for 2 weeks now and… JUSTCAN’TWAITANYMOREOK?! First time I heard it in Gareth Emery’s Trance Around The World 400 set (a must download) I instantly fell in love. It’s a perfect combination of stunningly beautiful vocals and construction of trance. The track drops February 13 so I’ll re-post then, but until then, fall in love with listening to it in this official video.

Mat Zo & Arty – Mozart (NEW MUSIC VIDEO)
Mat Zo has really been KILLING it lately, and knocking me off my feet; in a non-infatuated way that is. Even more exciting is the announcement made during his set interview at the benchmark Trance Around The World Episode 400 of new tracks to look out for around mid-April! Anyways, I digress, Arty is another favorite producer of mine who we’ll feature soon, but for now check out his uplifting new sound and video with Mat. Thanks Anjunabeats!
