Nadia Ali will also be paying a very welcome visit to Phoenix in this glorious month of May, and continue to break in the new Monarch Theatre in downtown Phoenix. Known for her vocals in Rapture, Feels so Good, Keep it Coming (which we covered an epic remix of), iiO, etc. the girl has an amazing set of pipes and incredible attractiveness to accompany it. Rapture was one of the first songs I ever heard when I came into the EDM scene years ago, and her vocals still haunt me with utmost beauty. You can bet I’ll be at this show. Cheers

Beyond Wonderland Recap
Sooo for those of you who didn’t get a chance to go, I am terribly sorry. Beyond Wonderland KILLED it this year. Words cannot describe how epic the scene was. We start our 5 hour journey to San Bernardino from Phoenix AZ… 5 hours isn’t too bad. Shitty part? RAIN. RAIN AND COLD. Did that stop us though? NEVER!! We will never give up on the pursuit to hear some kick as electronic dance music!
Swirling lights everywhere, fire breathing metal sculptures, dancers dressed as little ducks, sheep, and other crazy trippy characters. It was impossible not to feel warm from all the love that was pouring out of this event, you could barely tell it was only like 40 degrees outside. It was also impossible to decide who to go see. It was an incredible talent filled line up on every stage and it was so hard to choose, but we did our best! Front and center for my favorite Norman Doray, Moguai, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, Hardwell, ATB, Arty, Gareth Emery, and yes Armin Van Buuren. Here are a few of my favorite pics from the show! Try not to miss out on what of the best events of the year next time!

Bingo Players @ Wild Knight Scottsdale, AZ
The guys who just brought us L’Amour are coming into town. That’s right Bingo Players will be in Old Town Scottsdale next Wednesday March 28. They have quickly risen to high ranks in the electronic scene playing at events around the world such as EDC, Tomorrowland, Dirty Dutch Mystery Land, etc. What’s remarkable about the dynamic duo is their ability to rally the crowd and get the dance floor moving with epic remixes and rolling guerrilla fart bass.

Event: tyDi @ Smashboxx Scottsdale (March 15th)
Looks like tyDi is coming to town a week from today! He has been voted at Australia’s #1 DJ for the past two years, is constantly a name of reference in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs from around the world, and finally often has tracks high up on 1001 Tracklists & Beatport upon release. Oh and let’s not forget he dropped his most recent album Shooting Stars in the fall, which was followed by a massive remix of Talking To Myself by Mason & Dragen as seen above! It’s a small venue so seeing him will be super personal!

Laidback Luke @ Wild Knight Scottsdale (March 8th)
It’s not too late to get your tickets and go see Laidback Luke this thursday evening up in Scottsdale! As I’m sure you are aware, Laidback Luke is known for highly energetic shows that really hit hard making it you irresistible to dancing to the bouncing bass. He recently paired up with Arno Cost and Norman Doray to deliver us Trilogy which can be heard below. Details continue past the song.

Steve Aoki & Datsik @ Rialto Theatre Tucson (March 8th)
Steve Aoki and Datsik will be gracing Tucson and The University of Arizona this Thursday night. Having already been getting ratings through the roof on their Deadmeat Tour, this stop in Tucson will not be one that’s forgotten. I have no doubt the college crowd from the University will get all hyphy from the Electro and Dubstep that is about to be dumped onto them. Prepare yourself accordingly Tucson.

Yep it’s out now. I have received confirmation that we will be covering Beyond Wonderland this year, so expect a followup writing! Caspa @ School Of Rock in Tempe March 15th!
Okay WOW, Steve Levine Entertainment & Public Relations and Insomniac Events coming in clutch lately by bringing some amazing DJs and Producers to the Phoenix area. They can now add the ever so great Caspa to that list of killer artists! Now listen, I saw Caspa when I was abroad in London, and when I say he kills it, I mean he KILLS IT. If you find yourself free on Thursday March 15th, then you really need to come to the show. Whether you love dubstep or you just love having a good time, you will get a ample amount of both at this show!

Sebastian Ingrosso is not a new player to the scene, in fact most of you probably know him as one of the members from Swedish House Mafia. Calvin Harris @ Club Myst January 29 (Scottsdale)
We’ve seen such an opening of wonderful artists and events coming to visit the valley recently! A few years ago this would have never been possible, which only goes to show that EDM music is on the rise and Arizona is finally a blip on the radar! Calvin Harris will be playing this Sunday evening at Club Myst in Scottsdale. Tickets are now up to $30 so go get yours quick!

POWERSURGE Music Festival (PHOENIX)
I noticed we have been posting a lot of events lately, but that just seems to be what’s making the news! Powersurge is going for a 5th strong year here in AZ, and after personally going 2 years ago and seeing Showtek live, I can attest to the energy and power in the crowd & atmosphere. This event originated as a hardstyle event and will continue to retain that hard-rocking style and culture. What’s hardstyle you may ask, to which I will respond it is the original pounding bass and punk culture that proceeded the brostep movement and is single-handedly responsible for giving birth to the Melborne Shuffle, not LMFAO as most EDM n00bs believe. Headed by Tatanka, who has been played at both Defqon 1 and Qlimax Next Dimensional World hardstyle music festivals, stages set to host house, dub, drum n bass, and hardcore artists will offer refuge to those who can’t handle the bouncing bass. Let’s also not forget about an appearance to be made by ARC ATTACK who performs music with thousands of volts of electricity and tesla coils! Anyone interested in coming out to see unique show and hear a unique sound will not be unimpressed. See ya on Saturday!

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike @ Axis Radius, Scottsdale
Tomorrow January 21st, Axis Radius will for the second night in a row be hosting a phenomenal event! Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike are an on the rise duo who have put out massives such as Generation X, REJ, and a fantastic remix we covered of Lady Gag’s Marry The Night. Their house and dirty ditch style will make the Scottsdale dance floor a hot place to be tomorrow! Snag some tickets if you can make it out so you don’t miss out.

Above & Beyond @ Axis Radius, Scottsdale Tonight!
Ah! Totally forgot to do a write-up about this! It’s 4:00pm but if you are a Phoenix, Tucson, or Arizona reader in general and want to see an incredibly tremendous show tonight then go and BUY YOUR TICKETS TO SEE ABOVE & BEYOND TONIGHT! They’ll be playing at Axis Radius in Old Town, Scottsdale, which is the perfect venue for these guys. When I saw their set at EDC 2010 I literally was brought to tears because their music is just so jovial, loving, and energetic! I promise you won’t be disappointed- that is if there’s anyone I reached out to in time. There’s some HUGE events coming up this month and next I’ll be writing about so stay tuned.

Hardwell’s Cobra announced Energy Anthem of 2012!
I’ll be honest, I hadn’t even heard of Hardwell’s pulsing track until I happened upon this compilation trailer he created of the EDM scene in the US over the course of 2011. Cobra was announced yesterday to be the the Anthem of Energy 2012, which unfortunately for me (and presumably all of our followers right now) is located in The Netherlands. But if for some chance you are a reader from Europe or will be in Europe this March 3rd, I highly encourage you to attend the event, as it is headlining many major artists and surely will be tons of fun as proven in the past years!
