Nadia Ali @ Monarch Theatre PHOENIX, AZ MAY 26
Nadia Ali will also be paying a very welcome visit to Phoenix in this glorious month of May, and continue to break in the new Monarch Theatre in downtown Phoenix. Known for her vocals in Rapture, Feels so Good, Keep it Coming (which we covered an epic remix of), iiO, etc. the girl has an amazing set of pipes and incredible attractiveness to accompany it. Rapture was one of the first songs I ever heard when I came into the EDM scene years ago, and her vocals still haunt me with utmost beauty. You can bet I’ll be at this show. Cheers
The Details:

Armin Van Buuren – A State of Trance 2012 (Album Out Now)
There have been some highly anticipated tracks coming from the newly installed album titled A State of Trance 2012, by the one and only Armin Van Buuren. Several of the tunes coming from the 2 disk set have already made it into sets from around the world, not to mention Tune of The Week and Future Favorite on many A State of Trance episodes. We’ll be doing a follow-up writing of this album as soon as I get a listen in! Stay tuned! The official release date was to be March 1st but Armada Music Shop says the album isn’t available in the US until August for some reason… let’s hope this is an error. Until that hopeful error is fixed you can ‘pre-order’ from Armada Music or just head to iTunes. Below are the two preview videos from both CDs in set! Cheers

Armin Van Buuren pres. Gaia – J’ai Envie De Toi
This man seriously cannot be beat. Armin Van Buuren previewed his new track J’ai Envie De Toi on ASOT 547. The track will be one of many listed on the upcoming A State of Trance 2012 CD set to be released March 5th. We’ll definitely be doing a favorites review once that CD is released, but until then enjoy this preview ripped from episode 547! It has the typical tone of one of Armin’s powerful and more spiritual tracks. Wait for 2:28 for the full experience! Cheers

Beyond Wonderland @ San Bernardino,CA March 17, 2012
Beyond Wonderland has been growing every year as one of Insomniac‘s music festivals that rivals EDC. Taking place this March 17th in San Bernardino, California the one day event is definitely worth your buck of a mere $80 for GA tickets to see big name artists such as Armin Van Buuren, Dirty South, Gareth Emery, Magnetic Man, Arty, An21 & Max Vangelli, Dubfire, Steve Aoki, Aly & Fila, and the list goes on and on. Click the picture above to expand and see the full lineup of artists to play. What’s even more exciting is that Armin Van Buuren‘s set will be celebrating the tremendous feat of 550 A State of Trance Episode, which selectively chose this event as one of few performances in his ASOT 550 World Tour! I went to this event last year and it was easily one of the most well decorated and themed festivals that I have ever been too. Not only are professionals and dancers alike dressed to the characters and themes of Alice in Wonderland, with a more satisfying more electronic take, the stages, lighting, sound, and artists are all superb! If you are looking to have a truly magical time go get your Tickets Here now. Cheers!

POWERSURGE Music Festival (PHOENIX)
I noticed we have been posting a lot of events lately, but that just seems to be what’s making the news! Powersurge is going for a 5th strong year here in AZ, and after personally going 2 years ago and seeing Showtek live, I can attest to the energy and power in the crowd & atmosphere. This event originated as a hardstyle event and will continue to retain that hard-rocking style and culture. What’s hardstyle you may ask, to which I will respond it is the original pounding bass and punk culture that proceeded the brostep movement and is single-handedly responsible for giving birth to the Melborne Shuffle, not LMFAO as most EDM n00bs believe. Headed by Tatanka, who has been played at both Defqon 1 and Qlimax Next Dimensional World hardstyle music festivals, stages set to host house, dub, drum n bass, and hardcore artists will offer refuge to those who can’t handle the bouncing bass. Let’s also not forget about an appearance to be made by ARC ATTACK who performs music with thousands of volts of electricity and tesla coils! Anyone interested in coming out to see unique show and hear a unique sound will not be unimpressed. See ya on Saturday!

They’ll be playing at Axis Radius in Old Town, Scottsdale, which is the perfect venue for these guys. When I saw their set at EDC 2010 I literally was brought to tears because their music is just so jovial, loving, and energetic! Tiësto’s ‘In The Booth’ Video Series Teaser!
Tiësto has just released a teaser trailer of the up and coming YouTube exclusive video series titled In The Booth. Documenting his iconic style of music and griping performances, this series will surely be worth keeping up to date on. We’ll post again when the first episode of the 10 part series is released.

Mike Foyle & ReFeel – Universal Language (Ben Gold Remix)
Oh boy! Ben Gold has done an incredible job remixing this track! I can’t put it much better than Armada already has; “UK producers Mike Foyle & ReFeel set the tone for 2012. With ‘Universal Language’, they land a warm, future classic for the trance loving crowds. Giving us a taste of summer with its guitar riffs, while keeping us warm in mid-winter, is the melodic gem…” Pretty much spot on how I feel when I hear this track. The stage has been set early for Trance in 2012. Other artists have a lot to live up to! I’ll definitely be buying this track on Beatport January 9th when it is released! Cheers

Lady Gaga – Marry The Night ( Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike Remix) DIRTY!
Great scott! Get me a bottle of scotch so I can Marry The Night and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike altogether because of this astonishing remix! Even in the world of EDM Gaga can make a bumping appearance. What I enjoy most in this track is the fine blend between uplifting piano, pushing levels of bass, and expertly inserted vocals. Listen below and download on Zippyshare or buy it on iTunes. Cheers

Hardwell’s Cobra announced Energy Anthem of 2012!
I’ll be honest, I hadn’t even heard of Hardwell’s pulsing track until I happened upon this compilation trailer he created of the EDM scene in the US over the course of 2011. Cobra was announced yesterday to be the the Anthem of Energy 2012, which unfortunately for me (and presumably all of our followers right now) is located in The Netherlands. But if for some chance you are a reader from Europe or will be in Europe this March 3rd, I highly encourage you to attend the event, as it is headlining many major artists and surely will be tons of fun as proven in the past years! For all our other followers, check out Hardwell’s great video documenting the meteoric rise of EDM below and download the track Cobra here! Cheers
