Beyond Wonderland Recap

Sooo for those of you who didn’t get a chance to go, I am terribly sorry. Beyond Wonderland KILLED it this year. Words cannot describe how epic the scene was. We start our 5 hour journey to San Bernardino from Phoenix AZ… 5 hours isn’t too bad. Shitty part? RAIN. RAIN AND COLD. Did that stop us though? NEVER!! We will never give up on the pursuit to hear some kick as electronic dance music!

Swirling lights everywhere, fire breathing metal sculptures, dancers dressed as little ducks, sheep, and other crazy trippy characters. It was impossible not to feel warm from all the love that was pouring out of this event, you could barely tell it was only like 40 degrees outside. It was also impossible to decide who to go see. It was an incredible talent filled line up on every stage and it was so hard to choose, but we did our best! Front and center for my favorite Norman Doray, Moguai, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, Hardwell, ATB, Arty, Gareth Emery, and yes Armin Van Buuren. Here are a few of my favorite pics from the show! Try not to miss out on what of the best events of the year next time!

Norman Doray killed it!!

Mad love for Hardwell

ATB Showing his love

The man who everyone was waiting for … Armin Van Buuren

Arizona Loves Avicii’s House for Hunger Tour

Sunday January 15th, Avicii graced Tucson and Phoenix with amazing shows. Helping to spread the word about the hunger crisis in America, the House for Hunger tour definitely succeeded in bringing everyone out to rally behind the cause and listen to some amazing music. I first want to start out by saying that the supporting artists in Tucson were killer. Michael Abate, DJ MAKJ, and DJ EYE KILLED IT! You know how sometimes you get to a show later than when the gates open because you are worried the opening acts won’t be that good?? We’ve all done it, but yesterday was an exception to this rule. I was glad we got there early because I was able to enjoy some great up and coming artists and they really did Avicii justice.

Then Avicii came on the stage. The crowd was chanting his name and despite the fact that I have seen in multiple times before, this time was different because I was with so many people I knew and we were about to experience one of our favorite house artists live together. It was just a great atmosphere. The set was great! There were songs I had never heard him play during his live sets before which was epic. Then after an amazing hour and a half long set, he ended it with Skrillex’s remix of Levels. It was definitely and unexpected finish but it gave the crowd that one last Avicii fix they needed. Overall, the show was a great success. There is something inspiring and almost indescribable about knowing that by simply buying a ticket to go see someone as amazing as Avicii, you are in turn helping to fight hunger in your own country. The tour itself was such a great act of selflessness and generosity. So a special thanks to Avicii and Ash Alliance, and the whole At Night Management crew. Your work is an inspiration.

So, if the tour is coming anywhere near you. I really suggest that you get a ticket and go. Its definitely a show you won’t forget. He really kills it.
